The symposium, titled “Reframing Openness: Empowering Authenticity and Reuse in Audiovisual Heritage,” is co-organised by EUscreen and FINA. It is a free conference (registration required) addressed to professionals from the audiovisual archives community, as well as scholars, rights experts, technologists, and community practitioners.
Call for submissions
This year’s conference invites submissions that examine how audiovisual archives can be safeguarded in times of peace and war, with a focus on protecting memory, identity, and authenticity under conditions of crisis.

The 9th Baltic Sea Region Film History Conference, held on June 6–8, 2024, in Riga, Latvia, gathered over 50 scholars and archivists.
