Victor Denisov, born 1952 in Udmurtia, USSR. Studied at Udmurt State University, Izhevsk (teacher of English and Foreign Literature, Interpreter) and Leningrad State University, St. Petersburg (Leningrad, Ph. D., General Linguistics and Finno-Ugric Languages). 1980 – 1982 Assistant, Department of Phonetics and Lexicology of the English language, Udmurt State University, Izhevsk. 1982 – 1993 Assistant, Senior Lecturer, Head of the Department, St. Petersburg Technological Institute. 1994 – 1998 Deputy General Director, ZAO «Youth Employment Exchange», St. Petersburg. 1998 - 2001 Director, ZAO «Start Personnel», St. Petersburg. Currently the Director, OOO «Prometey Ltd», St. Petersburg (starting from 2001) and participant of the Project “Reconstruction of sound materials of endangered languages in the Russian Federation for sound archives in St. Petersburg” (from 2006). Member of Kastren’s Finno-Ugric society (Finland).
