Marcos Sueiro Bal is the Audio and Moving-Image Archivist of the Columbia University Libraries in New York City. He has been the sound engineer at the Alan Lomax Archives as well as Non-Print Conservator of the Emory University Libraries, and for many years worked at the Center for Black Music Research in Chicago. Aside from his work in libraries and archives, he continues to be involved in music recording and live sound. His latest project is the mastering of the debut CD by 87-year-old Spencer Moore for Tompkins Square Records.
