 Pekka Gronow is senior archiving specialist at Yleisradio, the Finnish Broadcasting Company. From 1989 to 2006 he was head of the company’s record library and the radio archives, and responsible for the planning and implementation of the digital audio archive, which has been operational since 2003. He is also adjunct professor (docent) of ethnomusicology at the University of Helsinki, and has written numerous books and articles on music, archiving and the recording industry.
