Lekoko Kenosi is currently a Fulbright scholar at the American University of Pittsburgh on the final stages of his PhD in archival studies. His doctoral dissertation is on "records, truth commission and national reconciliation: Accountability in Post Apartheid South Africa." He grew up in the Southern African country of Botswana. He attained his Bachelor's degree in English and History from the University of Botswana in 1991. Upon completion of his first degree Kenosi was hired by Morupule Power Station as an assistant archivist and records manager. In the same year he was employed by the Botswana Defense Force as Military Archivist. He joined the University of Botswana as a lecturer in archives and records in 1997. In the same year Kenosi proceeded to the do his Masters Degree in Archival Studies at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. He finished his masters degree in 1999 and came back to teach records and archives at both undergraduate and graduate levels at the University of Botswana. Kenosi has published extensively on records and archives. His research areas include records and accountability, electronic records, audiovisual records and archival theory and practice. He is currently reviewing the preservation and management of the paper, audio, audiovisual and electronic records of the South African Truth Commission by the national archives of South Africa.
